A Catalyst Group is a small group of prayer, study, and action, organized around a common concern or mission.

Beginning in the fall of 2015, KPUMC offered Catalyst Group training, an eight-week course in "doing mission right." Course members clustered around common concerns or missions, and began praying, studying, and meeting together to see what God might be calling them to do. Each group signed a covenant, met regularly, and planned an activity or project. As a result of this initial training, four groups formed, two of which are still active.

In spring 2016, Catalyst Group training was offered again, and one more group was formed, which is still active. Stay tuned for further training sessions.

Currently, there are three active Catalyst Groups at KPUMC:

Project Welcome Refugee

Tyler Street Tower

Catalyst Stewpot
