The Well Community serves those who struggle with mental illness and poverty, offering hope and healing through the power of faith, friendship, and best-practice interventions. What started as a simple outreach at Cliff Temple Baptist Church to a handful of individuals has grown into a flourishing, holistic ministry among adults recovering from serious mental illness rendering some homeless. The Well's philosophy of care, relational interventions, and holistic rehabilitation combine to make a significant impact. The Well, along with the men’s boarding house, Jacob’s House has long been supported by Kessler Park UMC.

Jacob’s House is on 8th Street and provides economical room and board for 6 - 8 men who apply and are approved by the Well. KPUMC long-time member, Alice Zaccarello, has been the Executive Director of the Well for almost 9 years.
