Dear Friends,
A month ago, I sat down to work on year-end ministry reports. We’ve been moving so quickly, I’ll confess, there hasn't been much time for reflection. I hope you’ll use this pledge campaign mailer as a time to reflect as well. The pictures and captions tell the story of a remarkable year for KPUMC.
We hope you’ll prayerfully make a pledge gift for 2026.
Our year was anchored by an inspiring celebration of our 100 Years in Oak Cliff. The two Sunday celebrations, year-long images and stories of our past, remind us of our legacy.
But for this campaign, we turn to our present day. Jesus once reminded his followers how they had a great faith-legacy too. But, he also said: “God is the God of the Living.”
That is deeply true. The God of the living is moving in our church, and we celebrate it…
More young families and singles are worshiping with us.
More children being baptized.
More kids at Wednesday Night Live (another new record, set this Fall…)
More babies in our Kessler Park Day School.
More programs to build “Community and Connection,” trust and relationship.
More outreach in Mission and Social Justice.
Something is stirring at KPUMC, and I hope you feel it too.
But let us be transparent: All this “more” also takes more financial resources. We will need every pledge gift like never before. And just as we are seeing more people coming to KPUMC, we will also need more pledge commitments and dollars for 2026.
A pledge is an “intention of giving.” But it also allows your Leadership Board to build a realistic budget based on realistic expectations.
I think it will be a hopeful moment of gratitude and thanksgiving for all we’ve done so far, and for what we will do together in 2026.
Thank you again for all your faithful support, for all you will yet do, as we serve the “God of the Living” in Oak Cliff.
