We are a vital part of Dallas’ ministry will homeless neighbors during inclement weather.

On subfreezing nights, our church volunteers comb the streets of North Oak Cliff and Dallas, urging unhoused neighbors to take the ride to emergency shelters. We’ve helped hundreds of homeless neighbors over the past five years.

  • Oak Lawn opens their doors on subfreezing nights as an authorized inclement weather shelter. KPUMC is the main source of transportation to their shelter, also providing volunteers, and funds for meals. We pay special attention to the needs in North Oak Cliff, but we serve the entire core of Dallas.

  • — Transported hudreds of unhoused neighbors to warm, overnight shelters.
    — Transported hundreds more between agencies, working with Oak Lawn and other partners.
    — Provided more than 3,000 meals, working with partner Norma’s Cafe in Oak Cliff.
    ($15,000-plus during Winter 2022)
    — Provided 100 hotel rooms for homeless persons when COVID made group shelters impossible
    ($18,000 in Winter 2021)
