How You Can Help

1. Build A Flood Bucket
We encourage you or your family to assemble a flood bucket. These buckets help those recovering from flooding. The items for each bucket total around $75.

Here’s a video from Pastor Eric, inviting you to make a Flood Bucket.

Bring your Flood Bucket with you to church on an upcoming Sunday, and we will collect them in the sanctuary, for shipment to affected areas.

You may also leave them outside the “1215 Door,” on Turner Ave, or the “Parking Lot Door” on the North Side of the Building.

The United Methodist Church maintains a “depot” in Kerrville, Texas for events just such as this one. Our sister church, FUMC Kerrville, has been a Red Cross Relief center. Hunt UMC has been serving meals daily for relief workers.

United Methodists Work Together During Disasters

These are examples of the strength of our “Connection” together, as United Methodist respond together to natural disasters that affect us here and abroad.

Our primary disaster relief agency is “United Methodist Committee on Relief.” (UMCOR)

UMCOR is a well respected charity that works alongside the Red Cross and other NGOs, both here and around the world.

Give A Financial Gifts Today

Because of our pre-existing connection, we can assure you that 100% of your financial gifts will go to disaster relief. KPUMC members, friends, and neighbors, have aleady contributed $3,800 to Hill Country Flood Relief.

If you would like to contribute, please click the button below. Select “UMCOR Disaster Relief” from the dropdown menu.
